The Training and Placement Department of V.S.K Degree College holds a significant position, bearing various responsibilities and executing a range of activities to cater to the student's needs. The department plays a crucial role in securing jobs for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students through continuous engagement with reputable firms and industrial establishments. It focuses on equipping students with the necessary technical, quantitative, verbal, and behavioral skills for placements, as well as assisting them in their future academic pursuits. With a primary focus on making students industry-ready, we offer courses such as 'Verbal and Quantitative Aptitude' and 'Basic Coding' in one semester, followed by 'Advanced Coding' in the other semester, as credit courses for third-year students. Additionally, second-year students undergo 'English Proficiency' courses to enhance overall skills essential for job-seekers.
Objectives of the Training & Placement Department:
1. Enhancing students' skills to meet industry recruitment processes.
2. Identifying employment opportunities across various industries for students.
3. Establishing relationships with corporate leaders, presenting the college's brief profile, and inviting them for campus recruitment of final-year engineering graduates.
4. Assisting students in developing technical knowledge, quantitative and verbal aptitude, and organizing industry interaction programs through outsourcing or in-house faculty.
5. Seeking industries' support for technical assistance, lab establishments, and internships for both PG and UG students; and entering into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with them.
6. Motivating students to pursue higher studies and guiding them in taking competitive exams such as CAT, GRE, and others.
7. Conducting seminars on various opportunities available for higher education or research in India and abroad.
8. Collecting constant feedback from companies about alumni working with them and analyzing it to enhance current training methods and curriculum.
9. Holistically molding students' personalities by providing training on personality development.
