Admission procedures for various programs at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla differ based on the respective courses offered:
For 4-year B.Tech, 5-year B.Tech & M.  Tech dual degree (Civil Engineering & Electrical Engineering), B.Tech (Lateral Entry), MCA & MCA (Lateral Entry), and 5-year Architecture courses, the selection is conducted through OJEE / JEE (Main).
The 2-year M.Tech program requires a valid GATE score for admission. Any remaining seats in M.Tech specializations are filled based on a career assessment for non-GATE candidates.
Admission into the 2-year M.Sc. program is determined through a career assessment conducted in July every year.
For the 5-year Integrated M.Sc. program, an Entrance Exam is held by VSSUT / OJEE / OJEE(Main) annually in July.
The 1-year M.Phil. program admits students through an entrance exam organized by VSSUT in July each year.
Ph.D. admissions involve an Entrance Exam conducted by VSSUT, followed by an interview, scheduled in July and January every year.

Application Process for VSSUT Odisha:

  1. Candidates selected through JEE/OJEE/University entrance exams must register online via the link available on the official website of VSSUT.
  2. Steps include visiting the Institute's website, registering using a phone number and email ID and downloading or printing the online application upon successful registration.  
  3. An auto-generated application code will be provided for future reference.
  4. Interested candidates can download the application form from the University's website and submit a hard copy of the completed and signed application along with a non-refundable demand draft (for SC/ST candidates) favoring the university.  
  5. The envelope enclosing the application should be marked as "Application for Programme" along with the relevant Department (Specialization) name.
