Admission Procedure

Admission to M.B.S. Course is given through the following procedure

  1. Entrance Test 200 questions of Multiple Choice
  2. Group Discussion 25 Marks
  3. Personal Interview 25 Marks

The Merit is prepared based on the performance in the entrance test and GD and PI conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

M.B.S. Examination Rules

The M.B.S. Examination is held in Four semesters of two years duration.

Sem. I - (Dec.)Ist Year
Sem. II - (May)
Sem. III - (Dec.)IInd Year
Sem. IV - (May)

Internal Assessment

a) The final total assessment of M.B.S. Course is made by

  1. Internal Assessment
  2. External Assessment

The Internal assessment marks to each subject / paper, will be submitted by the Director to the Controller of the Exam, three weeks before the commencement of each semester examination.

b) The external assessment shall be based on the written examination, conduct by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

Each theory question paper will carry 60 marks with internal option. Every candidate must secure 50% marks in aggregate and for internal examination 24 out of 60 marks and for internal examination 16 out of 40 marks.

Standard of Passing

  1. 40% of Internal marks
  2. 40% of External marks (University written examination)

Thus the Candidate must obtain minimum 16 marks out of 40 marks for internal assessment and minimum 24 marks out of 60 marks of University written examination separately.

Re-Examination / Rules of ATKT

In case a student passes individually in Internal and External examination but fails in aggregate, the following rules will apply for re-examination:

  1. If the student has obtained 50% or more marks in either Internal or External Examination, that part of the examination should not be repeated.
  2. If the student has obtained Less than 50% marks in either or both of Internal and External examination that part of the examination will have to be repeated.

M.Phil. ( Master of Philosophy )

Admission Procedure

  1. Admission to the M.Phil. course shall be made in the month of July of the concerned academic year.
  2. Admission to M.Phil. Course will be made on the basis of written test, personal interview and percent of marks scored in M.S.W.
  3. The final selection will be made on the basis of merit in the written test, personal interview and percentage of marks in the M.S.W. Course. The written test will carry 100 marks and the personal interview will be of 50 marks.
  4. Reservation will be as per the Govt. of Maharashtra’s rules and regulations.

The evaluation of the candidate’s course work will be a continuous process. Following shall be the scheme of examination

Rules of Passing

A student should obtain at least 50% marks in theory courses, dissertation, presentation and viva-voce.

  1. If a student fails in any theory paper, he shall be allowed to re-appear for the subsequent examination of that theory paper by applying and paying required examination fees.
  2. Dissertation shall have the separate passing head for M.Phil. Programme. A student failing in Dissertation shall be allowed to resubmit the same in the revised form by incorporating the suggestions made by the referee along with the required fees.
