Common University Entrance Test is a country-wide common entrance testheld by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a unified platform for students seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes in several central, state and private universities.
The aim of CUET is to simplify the admission process by providing a single entrance exam for various UG and PG courses. CUET provides equal opportunities to students across the country, especially those from rural and remote areas and helps them establish better connections with universities across India.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) was created as an independent and autonomous testing organization by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
The National Testing Agency is known for conducting efficient, transparent and reliable entrance/testing to evaluate candidates for admission to top higher education institutions. NTA also conducts various employment examinations in different departments of the Government of India.
