The NTA JEE Main final answer key plays a crucial role in preparing for the JEE Mains result 2026. The NTA uses the final key to determine a candidate's raw marks based on the exam's +4/-1 marking scheme.
The final answer key is an essential document used to calculate the NTA JEE percentile for the result. The final key cannot be challenged. Therefore, it is essential for both candidates and the NTA to prepare for the result.
The JEE Main final answer key will be released as a PDF, so candidates will be able to access it without any credentials. The answer key will contain the correct answer IDs for the questions asked in each shift. More importantly, it will also contain details of questions that candidates missed, for which they will receive bonus marks, regardless of whether they attempted the question or not. Note that the final answer key cannot be challenged.

Because the JEE Main 2026 exam is conducted in multiple sessions and shifts, the difficulty level of each shift may vary. To ensure fairness, the NTA uses a normalization method to calculate the JEE Main NTA score 2026. This normalized score represents the percentage of candidates whose raw scores were equal to or lower than a particular student's score in the same session.
NTA score = (100 × number of candidates in the session with raw score ≤ candidate's score) ÷ total number of candidates in that session
