CONCLUSION: -
No online MBA course is equivalent to a full-time MBA. The reason is simple. Online programs are good in terms of only
theoretical knowledge, the grill is much less, and the gravity of the course and
topics are much less. Moreover, there is no opportunity for learning the skills
which are the crux of Management education, like group projects, discussions,
might-outs, preparation for examinations, strict guidelines, etc. Students
learn a lot from such grilles and the same helps them become successful in
corporate life. Also, the industry is aware of such differences and hence not
many companies give weightage to online MBA programs - these are considered mere certification programs.
I would suggest that, if you are serious, go
for a good Business School and pursue an AICTE-approved PGDM program with dual
specialization, if possible. Choose a B School which will groom you well and
charge less. for example, consider ASB Hyderabad/ Ashoka Business School. They
offer AICTE-approved dual specialization courses like Marketing+Analytics,
AI+ML, Finance+Fintech, etc, and charge very less, only around INR 5.8–6 Lacs.
The average placement in this college is around INR 8–9 Lacs per annum. They
also groom the students well. Some other good B Schools would be IISWBM
Kolkata, FMS Delhi, ITM Mumbai, etc.
If you really want to do an online MBA, then go for the same from the IVY
League colleges, or top-20 Business Schools of the world, not beyond that.
