The JNVU Jodhpur PhD Admission 2023 Admission Process •
The University will administer an Entrance Test (MPET) to all Ph.D. Program
applicants.
1. To be admitted to a Ph.D. program, a candidate must
have a minimum grade point average of 50%. a reduction of 5% in marks for
students from underrepresented groups like the SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled.
2. Interviews with qualified candidates—at most twice the
number of seats—are required.
3. NET/SET/NET with JRF Qualified Candidates are not
required to take the MPET 2022 Examination; however, they may choose to do so.
For NET/JRF/SET qualified candidates, the online form and fee must be
completed.
Weighting for NET/SET/NET with JRF The following details
will determine the weighting for NET/SET/NET with JRF:
1. Twenty marks will be awarded to students who passed NET
JRF within two years of the department's merit preparation date.
2. On the date of merit preparation by the department,
students who qualified on NET/SET and NET with JRF expired (less than two
years) will receive 10 points.
A common merit will be prepared
on the basis of following matrix: –
{(PG percentage + NET with JRF percentage) /2} +20 marks
(fulfilling Point (i) of Weightage mentioned
above) OR
[{PG percentage +MPET (NET with JRF) percentage} /2] +20
marks (fulfilling Point (i) of Weightage mentioned
above)
{(PG percentage +NET/SET/Old JRF holder percentage) /2} +10
marks (fulfilling Point (ii) of Weightage mentioned
above) OR
[{PG percentage +MPET (NET/SET/OLD JRF holder) percentage}
/2] +10 marks (fulfilling Point (ii) of Weightage mentioned
above)
(PG percentage +MPET percentage) /2 (excluding NET/SET/JRF)
