The Delhi High Court will continue the CLAT Result Hearing today, April 21, 2025. Earlier, the court saved its judgment on petitions against the CLAT UG 2025 results. The court is expected to give its final decision on the CLAT 2025 Exam soon. The court will also resume hearing pleas related to the CLAT PG 2025 results.
On April 9, judges heard petitions about CLAT 2025 questions and answers. The judges said they want to finish this case quickly. They noted that issues about the postgraduate exam will be handled separately.
In an earlier court hearing, the judges told the National Law Universities group to appoint better test writers. This would prevent mistakes on the exam. The CLAT UG 2025 results was given on December 1, and the results came out on December 7.
During the hearing, the judges said at least one question from the test paper should be removed. The lawyer representing the group also suggested getting rid of that question because it was poorly designed. One disputed question was about logic and homeless people. This question caused disagreement among the experts.
Earlier, the Supreme Court moved all CLAT 2025 cases to a Delhi High Court division bench. This avoided conflicting court rulings. The Supreme Court first thought of sending the cases to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. That's where the first petition was filed. But the Consortium asked for all cases to be in one place - either the Supreme Court or a single high court.
Both applicants and the Consortium disagreed with an earlier court order. The Consortium said the judge should not have changed the expert-made answer key. But a higher court did not pause the judge's ruling or give temporary help. The court found no clear mistake in the judge's decision. It told the Consortium to revise and release the CLAT PG 2025 results as directed.
On December 20, 2024, the Delhi High Court told the Consortium to change the CLAT UG 2025 results. This was because there were mistakes in the answer key. The court said that the answers to two questions were wrong. The court told the Consortium to give the corrected results. The CLAT 2025 exam was for getting into five-year LLB programs at NLUs. The results were first announced on December 7.
