(1)About MERI Entrance Exam
The full name of MERI is Marine
Engineering & Research Institute, and it was established in 1947 to meet
the growing demand for marine engineers in India. The organization that was
previously known as the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training had its main
office in Calcutta and a branch in Mumbai that was part of the Ministry of
Shipping (Government of India). In 1994, the institute changed its name to
Marine Engineering and Research Institute.
The entrance exam offered by the
Marine Engineering and Research Institute actually serves as an admissions
procedure for T.S. Chanakya. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI)
Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI) Kolkata
These institutes accept students for a three-year program leading to a B.Sc.
Nautical Sciences) at T.S. Chanakya in Navi Mumbai, a four-year degree in
marine engineering from the Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI)
in Kolkata, and a three-year polyvalent B.Sc. Students who want to earn a
degree in Maritime Sciences at the Marine Engineering & Research Institute
(MERI) in Mumbai take the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Advanced) that IITs
administer annually.
For admission to the aforementioned
training facilities, there is no separate entrance exam, and only applicants
who have passed the JEE (Advanced) are invited to counseling in July or August.

(2) Eligibility
Criteria for MERI exam
To clear MERI
exam candidates must complete some eligibility criteria given below:
• Candidates
must be born after October 1, 1987. Candidates for SC/ST must have been born on
or after January 1, 1998.
• When I was
born: General and OBC candidates must have been born on or after October 1,
1987, while SC and ST candidates must have been born on or after October 1,
1998.

(SC/ST), drawn in favor of Indian Institute of Maritime Studies and payable at
Mumbai, by the due date, the application form as well as the information
brochure can also be obtained from the Indian Institute of Maritime Studies.
Mode on line:
The
MERI 2013 information brochure and application form can be downloaded from the
IMU website at www.imu.tn.nic.in. These downloaded application forms should be
submitted with a Demand Draft (DD) for 1000 rupees for the General and OBC
categories and 600 rupees for the SC and ST categories, both payable in Mumbai.
MERI doesn't have any separate
Entrance Examination, It follows the score of JEE (Advanced) Score for giving
an admission. The Exam pattern of JEE (Advanced) is following :
JEE (Main) 2017 shall have two
papers,
Paper-1 (B.E. / B. Tech.) and Paper-2(B. Arch./ B. Planning). Depending upon on
the course (s) candidates are seeking admission, may take Paper-1 B.E. / B.
Tech.), or Paper-2 B. Arch./ B. Planning), or both. Subject combination for
each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination available
is given in the table below.

• There are
two papers, each lasting three hours.
• Papers for
English and Hindi are printed separately; the language chosen when registering
for JEE (Advance) determines which paper is given.
• There are
three main topics on the exam paper: • There are multiple-choice, analytical,
reasoning, and reasoning questions on the exam in physics, chemistry, and
mathematics. Students will carefully complete the option, and they should
carefully read all exam instructions.
Admit Card for the MERI entrance
exam in 2023

The following information about
the admit card is provided for the applicant's reference:

The admit card must be downloaded
and printed by applicants. Without a hall ticket, applicants will not be
permitted to take the exam.
·
For verification, the hall ticket
and an additional government ID must be carried. At the time of counseling, you
will need to bring a copy of the admission card. If the application was
submitted successfully, the admit card will only be accessible.
(9) Meri entrance
exam 2023 Results & Score Card
• The student awaits
their admissions decision. The conducting department hasn't decided yet when
the result will be announced. As soon as the board releases the result, we will
update it. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Advanced)) that IITs administer
annually selects applicants.
• Meri and aieee are
combined. As a result, exam centers across India are tense. Visit the website
www.cbse.nic.in for a list of exam centers.

(11) MERI entrance exam counselling

Those applicants have been
shortlisted on the merit list; They will be called out for the counseling
session, and candidates must show up at the scheduled time with the necessary
documents for verification.

It is requested that all students
arrive at the counseling center on time.

selection, and verification of documents.
