MAT 2024 Counselling: Schedule, Selection Procedure, and Required Documents

The counselling of MAT 2024 will tentatively start in the last week of June. MAT counselling consists of 2-3 rounds of group discussions, personal interviews and/or written aptitude tests. Since AIMA does not implement a centralized counseling process, participating B-schools decide their own exit and admission processes. More than 600 institutes participate in the MAT advisory process.

MAT 2024 results will be released in the second week of June 2024 in May session exams. Candidates can also check the results of the previous 4 administrations (sessions) at Colleges that accept MAT scores will publish a separate CV and shortlisted candidates will be invited via email.

MAT exam itself does not decide your final admission to a B-school. Although this is an important first step, the selection process for MAT 2024 applications is handled by individual institutions. Here is a breakdown of the typical  MAT selection procedure:

MAT 2024 Selection Procedure

Participating institutions will conduct the MAT selection process in 2024 after the declaration of exam results. In 2024, MAT graduates must submit separate applications to participating educational institutions. Candidates should know that the selection procedure for MAT 2024 varies from institute to institute. Each round is listed below.

  1. Written Aptitude Test (WAT)
  2. Group Discussion (GD)
  3. Personal Interview (PI)

Some of the participating institutes are conducting the MAT 2024 selection process offline while others are conducting it online. Candidates will be informed about the institute to which they have applied by email or letter after the publication of the CV. MAT Counselling 2024

AIMA MAT counselling procedure includes the selection of candidates through personal and group interviews. The AIMA MAT 2024 counselling can be done only after the declaration of MAT 2024 results. Information about the MAT 2024 counselling schedule will be released after the results are declared.
