Applicants need to meet certain conditions to get into NIFT Chennai. The criteria are different for undergraduate and graduate programs.
Applicants need to have finished high school. There are no major rules for Development students. But Technology students must have studied Math, Physics, and Chemistry. They also need to be under 24 years old by August 1 of the admission year.
To get into NIFT's master's courses, students need a bachelor's degree of at least 3 years. They can also have a 3-year diploma from NIFT or NID. There is no age limit for NIFT's master's programs.

NIFT Chennai has different programs. For undergrads, they offer Fashion Design (BDes) and Business Technology (BFTech).
