D.Ed Qualification

Admission to the D.Ed. program


There are two ways to get in: on merit and through an entrance exam. This will depend on the admission procedure of the institute. D.Ed confirmation entrance test can be led at the state level, college level or at the foundation level. (i)     Candidates who meet the requirements for admission to a D.Ed. program are required to fill out an online application on the website of the college or university for which they have applied and upload all of the required documents.

(ii)   The entrance exam can be taken in person or online, and the majority of them are state-level entrance exams.

(iii) Candidates must take the state level entrance exam and pass it after submitting their complete application.

(iv)  Candidates who pass the entrance exam will be put on a shortlist, and those who make it will also have to take part in the state-level counseling process if they want to be admitted to the

D.Ed. program.

(i)     The payment of the D.Ed. admission fee and verification of documents at the institute or university level are the final steps. The institute or university must verify the documents and collect the required fee before admission to the D.Ed. program can be confirmed.

(ii)   D.Ed. Admission on a Merit Basis

(iii) Candidates who meet all of the requirements for D.Ed. admission must fill out the application, upload the necessary documents, and submit it to the college or university they want to attend.

(iv)  The college or university will prepare a merit list for admission to the D.Ed. program based on the results of the qualifying exam, which is 10+2.

(v)    Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit, and if the institute or university requires it, they must participate in the counseling process as part of the admissions process.

(vi)  The payment of the application fee and institute/university-level document verification are the final steps in the admissions process. When the fee is paid and the document is verified, admission is confirmed.


D.Ed. Admissions for distance education


The D.Ed. course is also available online to students. If candidates are unable to attend regular classes by being physically present at the institute, they can apply for the D.Ed. Distance Admission option. These candidates can apply for admission to the D.Ed. program via distance learning. The requirements for D.Ed. Distance Admission are the same as those for regular D.Ed. admission:

(i)     Candidates must have passed class 12 in any subject from a reputable board.

(ii)   Candidates should have a cumulative GPA of at least 50%.

The Admissions Process:


The colleges that offer the distance-learning D.Ed. program do not hold an entrance exam for admission; instead, admission is granted based on performance on the qualifying exam. The steps for applying for a distance D.Ed. degree are outlined below:

(i)     Candidates who want to take the D.Ed. program at a distance must first fill out the application form, which can be found on the university's website, and then submit it in its entirety with all of the required documents as requested by the institute or university.

(ii)   Eligible candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be offered admission once their documents are successfully submitted. Admission will be determined by how well they did on the qualifying exam.
