The NEET 2026 exam pattern declares that it is an offline mode 180 180-minute or 3 hours exam. A total of 180 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are there. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology constitute the NEET syllabus (i.e. each marks-wise).

Furthermore, it is well known that students should begin their NEET preparation tips at least two years in advance, due to the extensive syllabus, which spans two years (11th and 12th). The NEET 2026 admit card will be released on the internet. It is announced that the admit card will be ready a few days before the start of the exam, that is, during the last week of April 2026. NEET 2026 Answer key will be uploaded in the online mode. A few days after the examination, an answer key for NEET 2026 will be released in the May 2026 third week by NTA. At the beginning, a provisional track of answers will be shared by the NTA. It will be in the pdf format. Besides, candidates have the option to raise the challenges if anY against the NEET 2026 answer key by paying Rs. 200 per question
NEET 2026 Final Answer key will be published by the concerned authority after the objection period. By the virtue of the Key, students can find out their tentative marks before the announcement of the result. However, it is the responsibility of the candidate to be aware that the result will be prepared purely based on the NEET 2026 final answer key.
After the exam concludes, experts from top training institutes will release the NEET 2026 answer keys for each question set or code. These unofficial NEET answer keys should be used by candidates to calculate their estimated scores. In case of any errors in the questions or answer options, the NTA has established the following resolution:
The NEET 2026 result is projected to be announced by NTA in the second week of June 2026. The examination conducting body will declare the NEET result 2026 in the form of a merit list and a scorecard. Here, the candidates need to visit the NTA NEET 2026 website to get their scorecards downloaded by inserting their login details. Over and above the result, NTA will divulge the numbers and facts of the exam, for example, how many applicants took part, the number of exam takers, and the number of passing candidates. The NEET 2026 cut-off mark was released by the NEET 2026 exams along with the results. This cut-off mark is expected to be lower than last year's. The cut-off marks will be announced on the NEET 2026 results day, in the results table, and in the press release issued by the NTA.

The NEET 2026 counselling or admission process is usually started one month after the announcement of the results. Also, the NEET 2026 examination is a gateway for getting an MBBS course admission in India. The counselling for NEET 2026 will be of two types, one for the 15 per cent AIQ seats and the other for the 85 per cent State Quota seats.
