The NEET 2024 marking scheme:
Using the marking scheme as per the NEET exam pattern, the raw score to be obtained in the NEET exam can be calculated using the formula below.
Formula: NEET marks = 4 X total correct answers - 1 X total incorrect answers
The NEET percentile indicates the proportion of applicants who scored higher or lower than a specific candidate. NEET percentile is determined by comparing it to the highest possible score. NEET percentile scores, therefore, indicate a candidate's position above and below the NEET topper.
As "the percentage of scores that fall below a given score in a group," NTA defines the NEET 2024 percentile rank. The NEET percentile score of a candidate is determined using a particular formula.
In addition to administering the entrance exam, NTA is in charge of compiling the NEET UG 2024 merit list for applicants who selected the 15% All India Quota. The NEET result is used to create the counselling merit list. The Directorate General of Health Services will receive the list of applicants who pass the exam to allocate the seats that fall under the 15% AIQ category. The NEET 2024 merit list will be organised by category according to the category that was selected when the application for counselling was made. It will include information such as the percentile, roll number, marks, and merit rank.
Merit lists with state and federal counselling authorities are provided by the NTA and will be used for admissions. The corresponding state counselling authorities will prepare the merit lists for candidates who are native to the state.
Based on the scores obtained in NEET result 2024, MCC conducts the NEET 2024 counselling online mode at MCC.nic.in. The counselling process is carried out at different levels for 15% AIQ seats and 85% state quota seats. The following criteria will apply to admittance to MBBS and BDS seats countrywide.
