What is NEET PG 2025?

NEET PG 2025 (National Eligibility with Entrance Test for Post Graduation) is conducted to enable admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country. NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the exam or who want to participate in the counselling process must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The NEET PG Eligibility Criteria is also published along with the bulletin by NBE. The eligibility criteria for NEET PG are summarised below:

  1. Candidates must possess a recognised MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate as per the provisions of the Medical Council of India Act, 1956
  2. They must also possess a Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council of India. or State Medical Council MBBS qualification
  3. They must have completed their internship on or before August 2025.

NEET PG 2025 Application Form

NEET PG 2025 application form is now available on the official website NBE-nbe.edu.in. NEET PG 2025 registration is an online process and involves five main steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website and register using your name, email ID, and mobile number.

NEET PG 2025 Admit Card

The NEET PG 2025 Admit Card will be released online. Candidates must download the NEET PG Admit Card 2025 from the official website. Candidates are advised to check all the details from the NBE official website after downloading the hall ticket. Candidates must print a copy of the admit card and attach a recent passport-size photograph with it. The admit card should be kept till the end of the admission process. Photo specifications are as follows:

Photograph specification:

  1. A photograph of a minimum size of 35 mm x 45 mm and covering at least 75 per cent of the applicant's face and head
  2. At the bottom of the photograph, there is an inscription with the applicant's name and the date the photograph was taken.
  3. The photo must be taken with a white/very light background
  4. The photo must be printed on good-quality paper with a resolution of at least 600 dpi
  5. Colour appearance and skin tone should be natural
  6. The photo should not have folds, scratches or stains
  7. A photo with reflections or shadows on the red eyes of the face should be avoided

Candidates must know the NEET PG Exam, as it will help the candidates to prepare. NEET PG Exam contains information about the exam paper, which includes format, medium, question number, duration and scoring system. NEET PG 2025 will be conducted online. The question paper has 200 multiple-choice questions, which candidates have 3.5 hours to answer. A negative mark is given in the exam. NEET PG 2025 Result

The NEET PG 2025 result will be announced by 3 September 2025 on the official websites. The result will be released as a PDF file containing the names, roll numbers, scores, and All India Ranks of the successful candidates.

Individual scorecards of the candidates can be downloaded a few days later, after the announcement of the result, by the candidate logging into the account using the application ID and password. The score is valid for the ongoing academic year and is employed for admission into MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. Candidates must score the minimum cutoff percentile (50th percentile for General, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th percentile for PwD candidates) to be eligible. Only eligible candidates may undergo counselling.

NEET PG Exam Counselling 2025

Once the result is declared, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) carries out the NEET PG counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and AFMS institutes. The other 50% state quota seats are dealt with by the concerned state counselling authorities. The steps involved in the NEET PG counselling process are as follows:

  1. Registration on the MCC website
  2. Choice filling and locking of choice colleges and courses
  3. Seat allotment based on rank, preference, and category
  4. Reporting to the college allotted and document verification

As you might know that there are a few hours left for the NEET PG exam, here are some last-minute preparation tips you can use to get your desired score-

  1. Revise smart instead of editing everything. Work with your handwritten notes and concentrate on high-yield topics and the topics in which you are weak.
