NEET PG Selection Process 2025

The NEET PG 2025 selection process involves a computer-based exam, followed by merit-based counselling and seat allocation. Candidates must qualify for the NEET PG exam by securing the minimum qualifying cutoff score. Successful candidates then participate in online counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state authorities, where they choose their preferred colleges and courses based on their rank and available seats.

NEET PG 2025: Objective Test

1. The objective test is the first stage of the exam.
2. This exam is conducted online.
3. There are a total of 200 questions.
4. Each question carries 4 marks and one negative mark for a wrong answer.
5. No points are deducted if the question is not answered.
6. This step will decide whether or not you will enter a merit list.
7. So, this step must be handled very carefully because all other steps directly depend on this step itself.
8. The more effort you put into making this process successful, the better your chances of getting listed.
9. When preparing a merit list, it is based on students who have crossed the threshold and also passed the objective criteria.

11. The merit list will be published after the successful completion of the objective tests. This is followed by a counselling process.

NEET PG 2025: All India Quota Seats

1. Those candidates will be eligible to be provided in the counselling for All India 50% quota seats for the 2025 admission session, fulfilling the eligibility criteria provided by the designated counselling authority for All India 50% Quota seats.
2. Candidates below the 50th percentile (40th SC/ST/OBC (including PWD SC/ST/OBC) and UR 45th PWD candidates) in NEET-PG 2025 will not be considered for admission to MD/MS. No /PG diploma courses or merit or rank will be given to such candidates. 
3. To be eligible for admission to a Postgraduate Course for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a person.

NEET PG 2025 State Quota List

1. NBE shall be providing only the data of candidates and their marks in NEET-PG 2025 to the designated counselling authority without applying the eligibility criteria, reservation criteria, etc of the concerned states. 
2. NBE shall not be preparing the merit list for any State quota seats / Private Medical Colleges / Universities.
3. The State Quota Seat Counselling Office is requested to prepare customised application forms to determine the eligibility of applicants.
4. NBE does not verify the information submitted by the candidates in the online application form, so the application is purely preliminary if the candidate has fulfilled the eligibility criteria mentioned. 

NEET PG 2025 Merit List Publication

This is the second stage of the selection process, so it is an important part of NEET PG 2025. The merit list contains the following information. Before that, we must note that the name in your merit list is visible only if you have cleared the Neet PG 2025 cut-off. 

The following can be concluded about the merit list:-

1. The merit list contains information such as the name of the candidate, the grades obtained in the exam and the grades given to the students.
2. The college distributes sweets to the candidates according to their merit list.
3. The next step is counselling and seat distribution. 

NEET PG 2025 Counselling

Counselling is given to fill the seats for a certain year. Candidates should apply for counselling and select the location of their choice. The authorities also charge applicable fees for the seat allotment process. It varies from category to category, and therefore, the fees charged are also different. 1. Counselling is done to select candidates from various universities.

3. Log in to the official website of the national examination board, and you will also find the main page of the counselling process.
4. Fill in all the credentials you provided during the online application.
5. After that, you can apply for the counselling process and hence select the seats.
6. There must be a clear seat selection for seat selection.
7. Complete the seat selection and pay for the process according to your class, and then log out.
8. You can print your seat selection list for later use.

3. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth.
4. Qualifying Degree Mark sheet (MBBS/BDS)
5. MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate.
6. Internship Certificate
7. Category Certificate (If applicable)
8. Identity Proof
9. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate provided by MCI or State Medical Council.

NEET PG 2025 Seat Allotment

This is the list that is prepared and released after the counselling process:-

1. This list is based on Counselling.
2. The location preference chosen by the candidates during counselling is considered.
3. Through this letter, candidates get to know the college to which they are assigned.
4. The decision is final and cannot be changed in any way.

NEET PG 2025: Reporting to the Allotted College

The last and final process is to report to the given college at the given time. The following documents must be sent on the day of admission:

3. Educational degree
4. Internship Certificate
5. MBBS Degree Certificate 
6. Other identification documents 
7. Aadhar Card(if Indian)
8. Passport (foreign citizens)
