Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, announced the AP ICET 2026 eligibility criteria on the occasion of the official notification. AP ICET exam aspirants must meet the AP ICET eligibility criteria before applying for the exam by filling up the application form. Eligibility criteria for APICET 2026 are the minimum qualifications that should be possessed by a candidate to take the APICET test, the age limit, the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying test, etc. To understand who can apply and who cannot apply for AP ICET 2026, read this article.

AP ICET 2026 Eligibility Requirement

The AP ICET 2026 eligibility is the least requirement that a candidate should have to appear for the entrance test. Thus, candidates should read the detailed AP ICET eligibility criteria before submitting the registration form. The AP ICET 2026 entrance test will be held in computer-based (online) mode.

Before submitting the application form, the candidates are required to verify the AP ICET eligibility criteria 2026 and whether their educational qualification is sufficient to not appear for AP ICET 2026. Besides that, there are some parameters one has to meet before enrolling for AP ICET 2026.

AP ICET 2026 General Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications 

1. As per the APICET eligibility criteria 2026, candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme should have studied and passed a three- or four-year degree course in any discipline conducted by the university or recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). 2. Candidates with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in the case of reserved categories – SC, ST and BC) are alone eligible to take admission through APICET. 
3. The qualifying Degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program should be recognised by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB. 
4. The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for AP ICET-2026. 

Age Limit 

There is no age limit to apply for the AP ICET exam.

Nationality 

The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974, as amended.

AP ICET 2026 Eligibility Criteria Related To Citizenship

According to the previous year's AP ICET eligibility criteria trend, Indian as well as foreign applicants are eligible for AP ICET 2026.

1. Indian citizens (candidates) must fulfil the local or non-local status conditions under the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Admission Regulations) Order, 1974, as amended.

Qualifying Marks for AP ICET 2026

Following the AP ICET 2026 eligibility criteria, applicants should have completed three years of a degree course in any subject from a recognised university or equivalent in a 10+2+3 pattern, which should be recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

1. AP ICET Qualifying Marks for General Category: According to the AP ICET 2026 eligibility, general category candidates must score a total aggregate of 50% to apply for the AP ICET test.
2. AP ICET Qualifying Marks for SC Category: To become eligible to apply for AP ICET 2026, the candidates belonging to the reserved category must secure 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
3. As per the eligibility criteria of the AP ICET, candidates who have completed their graduation through distance mode must be identified by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEB/ DEC.

NOTE: Those who are pursuing their final year of graduation or awaiting their result for the same are also eligible to apply for AP ICET 2026. They have to submit their requisite documents at the time of admission.

AP ICET 2026 Application Form

The application form for AP ICET 2026 will be made available through online mode. Candidates will be able to fill out the application form in the first week of March 2026. The application form will be made available only to eligible candidates. Candidates are also advised to read the eligibility criteria of the AP ICET application form before filling it.

Eligible candidates have to pay the application fee before the last date of application submission. The last date to submit the application form without a late fee will be till the first week of April 2026.

The AP ICET 2026 application form will be accepted only for eligible candidates. After the application form is submitted, candidates have to deposit the application fee. The application fee will be paid through online mode. Candidates have to submit the application form as per their category.

What after Fulfilling the APICET 2026 Eligibility Criteria?

Those candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria will be eligible to apply for AP ICET 2026 examination by submitting the online application form through the official website- cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Following the submission of the application form, candidates will be eligible to download the admit card at the time of its release.

Shortlisted candidates need to appear for the AP ICET 2026 exam, which is likely to be conducted in 25 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates can select three to four AP ICET test centres while submitting the application form.

AP ICET 2026 Important Guidelines

The Convener or the Common Entrance Test Committee reserve the right to cancel a candidate's application at any time, if A) the application is incomplete. B) the candidate does not meet the stipulated eligibility criteria. C) False or incorrect information has been submitted.

Any alteration at all, including that of caste/community status or category, will not be allowed in the typed application once submitted to the Convener. No correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
