1. The AP ICET entrance exam will be conducted in two sessions.

AP ICET 2026 Normalization of Scores

AP ICET exam will be conducted in two sessions based on the same syllabus and exam pattern for candidates with the same eligibility criteria. A candidate was eligible to appear in only one session. Since the question papers were different for each session, there is a possibility that candidates compare themselves about the variation in the difficulty level of the questions. However, it may be noted that full care is taken to ensure that all the papers are of the same standard. Also, it has been decided to adopt the AP ICET 2026 normalization process to eliminate any variation in the difficulty level of different sessions.

The normalization committee held extensive deliberations and decided to use the following AP ICET 2026 normalization procedure:

1. SMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session to which the candidate belongs
2. GMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of all candidates across all sessions
3. Top Average Session: Average marks of the top 0.1% candidates in the session to which the candidate belongs
4. Top Average Global: Average marks of top 0.1% of all candidates across all sessions

Re-evaluation of AP ICET Results 2026

As mentioned above, candidates can apply for re-evaluation if any details are missed or provided incorrectly. To do so, candidates need to pay INR 1000 online. Note that Sri Krishnadevaraya University will only consider applications that are submitted within 15 days of the declaration of the AP ICET result 2026.

AP ICET Results 2026 Qualifying Criteria

1. The minimum AP ICET qualifying score for general category candidates is 25%, which is 50 marks out of 200. 
2. There are no minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates. The AP ICET rank card will be valid for one year only.

AP ICET Results Tie-Breaking Criteria

1. AP ICET 2026 Section A marks will be considered first
2. After considering the Section A marks, if the scores are still tied, in such a case, the Section B marks will be considered
3. If the tie persists, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be given preference.

What After the Declaration of AP ICET Result 2026?

Once the results are declared and the cutoffs are released by the participating institutes, the shortlisted candidates will have to attend AP ICET counselling. Once the participating institutes release the provisional allotment list, the AP ICET 2026 counselling will begin in online mode. General category candidates will have to pay a counselling fee of INR 1200 and reserved category candidates will have to pay INR 600.

Only those candidates who clear the AP ICET cutoff are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process. The cutoff to be eligible for AP ICET counselling is 25% of the maximum marks in the exam, i.e. candidates must score at least 50 out of 200 marks to be eligible for counselling.
