CG PET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates aspiring to appear for CG PET 2025 must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Age Limit

The upper age limit is 30 years as of July 1, 2025.

2. Domicile Requirements

1. Candidates must meet the domicile requirements of Chhattisgarh.
2. A valid domicile certificate will be required as proof of residence during the counselling and admission process.

3. Qualifying Examination

1. Candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2. One of the following optional subjects must also be studied:
1. Chemistry
2. Biology
3. Biotechnology
4. Technical vocational courses
3. For B.Tech Biotechnology, candidates must have studied Biology instead of Mathematics.

4. Minimum Qualifying Marks

1. General category candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in each subject in their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination.
2. Reserved category candidates from Chhattisgarh should have secured a minimum of 40% marks.

5. Grace Marks

1. Candidates who pass the entrance exam with a courtesy mark will be eligible for the place, provided that they meet the minimum percentage of passes in each subject.
2. Grace marks will not be considered when calculating the aggregate percentage for admissions.

6. Admission Criteria

To secure admission to the participating institutes, the following minimum marks in CG PET 2025 are required:

1. General Category: Minimum 10% marks.
2. SC/ST Category: Minimum 5% marks.

7. JEE Main Qualification

Candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2025 will be eligible for direct admission in participating institutes.

Other Eligibility Criteria

1. Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 examination in the current academic year are also eligible to apply for the CG PET. However, they will be required to submit their final mark sheet at the time of admission.
2. Improvement Exam: Candidates who have appeared for an improvement examination are also eligible, provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria.
