Eligibility Criteria for CG PET 2025

Before applying for CG PET 2025, candidates must ensure that they are eligible to meet the necessary requirements. The criteria of CG PET confirm the eligibility of the candidates in terms of components such as age limit, educational background, and residence requirements as per the exam in charge. The detailed description of the eligibility criteria is as follows:

Age Limit

1. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
2.  The upper age limit for general category candidates is generally 30 years, while there is some relaxation for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

Educational Qualification

1. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board or institute.
2. They must also have a high level of mathematical skills by studying subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12th syllabus.
3. General category candidates must have a minimum of 45% qualifying marks, while SC/ST/OBC category candidates can apply if they have at least 40% marks.

Domicile Requirements

1. Only students who are natives of Chhattisgarh have the right to apply under the state quota. 
2. Non-resident candidates may also be eligible, but if seats are left in the All India quota, they will be considered for those seats.

Application Process for CG PET 2025

The 2025  application is the first essential step in the CG PET selection process. This process is applied online, and applicants are expected to complete it using the official website of CGPEB.

Step 1: Online Registration

1. Create an account: Candidates must first create an account on the official website of CGPEB to enable the application process. This includes information such as name, date of birth, contact information, and email address.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

1. Personal details: Candidates have to enter their data, i.e. educational qualification, address, contact information, and other information.
2. Subject selection: Candidates have to choose their stream and subject, such as B.Tech and engineering-related courses.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

1. Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of important documents, including:
1. A recent passport-size photograph.
2. Signature in a specified format.
3. Educational certificates (Mark sheets of Class 10 and 12).
4. Caste certificate (if applicable), etc.

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

Payment Method: Applicants must pay their application fee online through payment methods such as debit card, credit card as well as net banking, and UPI. The fee amount is generally around Rs 200 for general category candidates and Rs 150 for reserved category candidates.

Step 5: Final Submission

Once the authenticity of the data is confirmed, candidates must submit the application form. It is a good idea to take a printout of the filled application form for any future reference.

Admit Card for CG PET 2025

The application process must be completed before CGPEB – Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board – issues the CG PET 2025 admit card to the candidates. This admit card is the necessary proof for the candidate to enter the exam venue and will contain all the necessary details such as:

1. Exam Date and Timing: The admit card will mention the exact date and time of the exam.
2. Examination Center: The venue details will be listed on the admit card.
3. Candidate Information: The admit card will include the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, signature, etc.
4. Important Instructions: Specific instructions related to the exam day will also be printed on the admit card.

Admit Cards should be downloaded from the official website of CGPEB and given to the candidates registered for the training programs. It is mandatory to keep the Admit Card in a safe place and bring it to the examination center along with a valid (computerized) photo identity proof (e.g., Driving License, Aadhaar Card, and Certificate of Executable File).

CG PET 2025 Examination

The next stage of the CG PET 2025 selection process is the CG PET 2025 exam. It is a walk-in test that has to be taken offline. The candidate has to demonstrate his/her knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as per the Class 12 syllabus.

Exam Pattern

1. Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen-and-paper)
2. Duration: 3 hours
3. Total Marks: 150 marks
4. Subjects: The exam will be divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
1. Physics: 50 questions, 50 marks

5. Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, while there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Preparation Tips for the Exam

1. Strong foundation in fundamentals: Since the CG PET exam is fundamentally focused, applicants must have a comprehensive command over the concepts and principles introduced in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
2. Solve Previous Year Papers: Practicing previous year question papers is a smart move for the applicants as they will get to see the exam style and pick key subjects.
3. Time Management: Considering the relative constraints of time, candidates must practice the art of time management so that they can concentrate more on the important problems.

Result Declaration and Merit List

After the exam is over, CGPEB will release the CG PET 2025 result on its official website. The result sheet will contain information about the performance of the candidates in individual subjects as well as their overall marks.

1. Result Access: Candidates can easily access their results by entering their roll number and other required information.
2. Merit List: As per the exam results, CGPEB will create a merit list that will rank the students in order of their performance. The merit list will include only the CG PET exam marks.

Step 1: Registration for Counseling

Candidates have to register for counselling on the official website. Candidates can pay the counselling fee to register for the counseling process. The most common option for most of the students is to state their preferences for college and courses.

Step 2: Document Verification

During the counseling process, candidates will be required to present original documents for verification. These may include:

1. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates.
2. Admit card and rank card.
3. Category certificate (if applicable).
4. Domicile certificate (for Chhattisgarh residents).
5. Identity proof (Aadhaar card, voter ID, etc.).

Step 3: Seat Allotment

1. CGPEB will allot seats to those in the merit list based on the counselling options and the availability of seats in Chhattisgarh engineering colleges.
2. Candidates who get seats will have to pay the admission fee and take admission in the institute in which they have got the seat.

Document Verification and Final Admission

The next step that applicants have to take after being allotted a seat is to visit their preferred college and complete the document verification process. Manual document verification is not enough; one must bring the original documents along.

2. Final Admission: Candidates will be granted admission to their engineering courses only after document verification and payment of fees.
