It is conducted by the Indian Maritime University and is the gateway for admission to various maritime courses offered by the university. To be eligible for IMU CET, the candidate must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. There is a relaxation of 5% in marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category. Candidates must also be under the age of 25 years at the time of application.

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria is an important factor that all candidates must fulfill. Eligibility criteria for undergraduate, graduate and research courses are different as divided below:
After passing IMU CET exam, candidates can get admission to various undergraduate programs. Candidates should note that admission to the B.sc (SBR) course does not require CET marks and the B.sc (LRE) and BBA-ML admission process will be decided in due course.
To apply for the IMU Common Entrance Test 2024, applicants must be at least 17 years of age as of August 1, 2024. However, the maximum age limit for applicants varies according to the undergraduate course category:

All interested and eligible candidates must be citizens of India while applying for the entrance exam. They must provide proof of their citizenship when the certificates are verified.
Candidates seeking admission to this UG program must be in medical condition including sight and hearing as required by the Commercial Transport (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000 (as amended). a registered medical practitioner at the time of the certification.
There must be no evidence of any disease in the eye or eyelid that may pose a risk of aggravation or recurrence to candidates applying for the UG course. The applicant must have good binocular vision. The movement of the eyeballs should be full in all directions and the pupils should react and adapt to light normally. Unaided distance vision 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in the right eye and 0.33*(6/18) in the other eye. Assist color vision 1.0*(6/6) in the right eye and 0.67*(6/9) in the other eye.
The Indian Maritime University has not set any limit for the number of attempts to appear in the IMU CET examination process. Candidates can participate provided they meet all the eligibility criteria. They can refer to various important IMU CET books and other study materials to avoid unlimited attempts.
