What is IPMAT?

IPMAT stands for Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. IPMAT is organised by the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). The national-level exam is a portal to admission into the five-year Integrated Program in Management provided by IIM Indore. IPMAT is an integrated Bachelor s-Master's degree (under the dual-degree programme) provided by IIM Indore. The program is for students who are interested in pursuing a career in management and business streams. The students will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) by IIM Indore upon completion of the program.

IPMAT is a national-level integrated MBA entrance exam that is held for IPM admission. IPMAT 2026 Two Phases

Candidates who want to obtain admission into the five-year integrated programme of IIM Indore should be aware that the programme is divided into two phases in general; Phase I refers to the initial three years of the programme, and Phase II refers to the last two years. Phase I: Phase I of the IPMAT course constructs the groundwork for the course. Students are asked to do a social internship in addition to classwork after completing the first three years.

IPMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The IPMAT 2026 exam eligibility criteria are based on the candidate’s academic qualifications and age. The candidates in general should have achieved a minimum pass in the examination, called higher secondary education (12th class) or any other equivalent of that from a board that is patent. Besides the general category, candidates need a minimum of 60% marks in their 12th-grade exams, whereas candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories are admitted through at least 55% marks. One can also apply if they are currently in the 12th grade and are going to take the percentage at admission before they get the 12th-grade results in 2026.

The IPMAT 2026 exam age limit for the general category is not more than 20 years as of 1 August 2026. Reservations can relax age requirements of the categories as prescribed by the Indian Institutes of Management, Bangalore.

IPMAT Registration 2026

The IPMAT registration process 2026 will be fully online. The IIM Indore IPMAT application form 2026 will be released online on the IIM Indore official website. Offline application provision is not made available for the IPMAT Indore exam.

Documents Required for IPMAT Exam Registration

The following documents will be needed for registration in IPMAT 2026:

2. Digitally scanned copy of the freshest OBC (Non-creamy) / SC / ST / DAP category certificate as applicable

How to Fill the IIM Indore IPMAT Application Form 2026?

The candidates have to adhere to the following steps to understand how to complete the IPMAT application form 2025:

1. Go to the official webpage of IIM Indore, iimidr.ac.in.
2. Click on the IPMAT 2026 registration link.
3. The applicant has to create a User ID and password.
4. The User ID and password will be sent to the applicant via registered email and SMS as well.

IPMAT 2026 Syllabus

The IPMAT 2026 syllabus has been subdivided this way quantitative ability, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. IPMAT 2025 Application Correction

Applicants are advised to complete their application forms for the next IPMAT session with great care. The examining authority will provide candidates with a tool to edit their application once submitted.

After the registration deadline, the link to correct applications for the IPMAT 2025 will be activated. Candidates should note that this feature will be available for a short period of 2 to 3 days. Last year, the correction period was available from April 9 to 10, 2024.

IPMAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Students can check the important guidelines for IPMAT 2026 exam below:

1. Bring your IPMAT admission card to the exam centre, as it is a mandatory document.
2. Arrive at the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts. Latecomers will not be allowed access to the exam room.
3. Do not bring electronic devices such as cell phones, laptops, calculators, etc., to the exam centre.
4. Bring official photo identification, such as a driver's license, passport, voter ID, etc.
5. Candidates new to the exam centre should be sure to visit the centre the day before the exam to avoid problems on the last day.
6. Read the instructions carefully before starting the exam.

IPMAT 2026 Result

IIM Indore will tentatively announce the IPMAT 2026 result during the first week of June 2025. The results will be published online on the official website: iimidr.ac.in. Candidates can download their IPMAT Indore result and scorecards using the login credentials generated during registration (application number and password). The IPMAT 2026 score is considered for admission to the IPM program, offered by various institutions such as IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar, and IIM Silsaur. Based on the IIM Indore IPMAT results, candidates will be shortlisted for further selection through a personal interview (PI).

IPMAT 2026 Answer Key

The IPMAT answer key 2026 will be updated online after the IPMAT Indore result announcement. Students can check the steps below to download the IPMAT 2026 answer key from the official website once announced:

1. Open the official website of IIM Indore- iimidr.ac.in
2. Open the login window
3. Log in using the email ID and password
4. Select the question set and submit
5. The IPMAT answer key will appear on the screen

The provisional answer key is released by the exam conducting authorities initially, and opens the window for filing objections. Objections can be filed by filling out an online form, uploading documents in support for proof and paying the fee. The candidates' objections are then examined by experts, and if any objection is found valid, then the revised final IPMAT 2026 answer key (final) is released. No objections shall be entertained after the final answer key has been published. Once the final IPMAT Indore answer key has been published, the IPMAT result 2026 will be prepared based on it.

IPMAT Exam 2026: Admission Process

Step 1: Complete the Application Form

Those who take the IPMAT exam have to apply for the exam. It should be kept in mind that one should submit the application form before the time. It is recommended to read the eligibility criteria before completing the IPMAT registration form.

The amount of the fee is INR 4130 for the General category/NC-OBC and INR 2,065 in case of reserved category candidates. The candidates should pay attention to the fact that the fee can be paid online only. The candidates can pay the fee via any of the following:

3. NetBanking

Step 2: Download the IPMAT Admit Card

Candidates who successfully get themselves register for the exam shall be able to access the admit cards. Registered candidates shall be able to download their respective admit cards from the official site using their registered ID and password.

Step 3: Attend the IPMAT Exam

IPMAT examination is expected to take place in May 2026. IPMAT 2026 was held in online mode, and the exam lasted for two hours. The registered students shall have to report for the exam where they will be evaluated based on Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).

Step 4: Verify the IPMAT 2026 result

Test-takers can view their results online. The result is usually announced in 10-15 days after the exam date. Candidates had to provide their application form number, email ID or Date of Birth to view their results.

Step 5: WAT-PI

Candidates who clear the written test will be further called in for the WAT-PI process. Shortlisted candidates need to appear for an Essay writing round and will then be interviewed by the panellists of IIM Indore.
