Age

Candidates born or/after July 1, 2003, will be eligible to apply for the exam

The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which they will be disqualified.

Qualifying exam

Candidates appearing for VITEEE 2026 should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, achieving a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.

Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam (+2/Intermediate) for the following categories:

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. A CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam.
  • However, the minimum percentage marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states is 50%.

    3. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Bioinformatics (VIT, Vellore).
    4. B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Specialisation in Health Informatics) (VIT-Bhopal)
    5. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering (VIT, Vellore)

VITEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria: NRI and Foreign Candidates

NRI and foreign candidates have to fulfil the following VITEEE eligibility criteria 2026.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2026: NRI Candidates

  1. Students must have English as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.
  2. They should have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
  3. Candidates should have a minimum average of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
VITEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Foreign Candidates
  1. Students must have studied in an English-medium school.
  2. They must have Mathematics and Physics mandatorily as two subjects at A level/Form VI/ Senior VI or its equivalent. The third subject can be either Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Electronics / Biotechnology / Biology.
  3. Candidates should have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in these subjects in 10+2 or equivalent.

VITEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Admissions

Shortlisted candidates of the VIT entrance exam will be eligible to attend the VITEEE counselling. Counselling and allotment of seats of VITEEE will be done based on the merit of the candidate in the exam, seat availability, and choices locked by them. Candidates can opt for their desired campus and B.Tech course during counselling.

Reservation Criteria in VITEEE 2026

Below are the details concerning documentation and certificates for particular categories in VITEEE 2026:

  1. SC/ST candidates have to furnish their SC/ST certificates along with them as proof of belonging to the SC/ST category.
  2. For candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, a Certificate to Prove Nativity is essential.
  3. It should be noted that not providing the required community or nativity certificate at the time of admission will make the institute's decision of admitting or not admitting the candidate final.

VITEEE Application Form 2026

VIT will close down the VITEEE 2026 registration process provisionally in the second week of April 2026. The candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria have to submit the VITEEE application form on the website, viteee.vit.ac.in. The procedure for application includes registration, filling the form, uploading a photograph & signature, and depositing the VITEEE registration fee. Candidates need to complete the VITEEE registration within the last date.
