A correction window will open from June 16 to 18, 2025, allowing applicants to modify their forms and address any errors.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has extended its postgraduate (PG) admissions deadline to June 15, 2025, providing a crucial opportunity for applicants to secure a place in its prestigious programs.
The announcement, made on June 10, 2025, aligns with BHU's commitment to accessibility and inclusion in higher education, using PG 2025 Common College Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admissions.
The extended deadline applies to 137 postgraduate programs, including master's degrees (MA), master's of science (MSc), technical master's degrees (MTech), master's of fine arts (MFA), master's of public health (MPH), master's of law (LLM), master's of education (MEd), master's of public administration (MPA), master's of commerce (MCA), master's of commerce (MCom), master's of economics (MABM), master's of education (MPED), and master's of library science (MLib), offered for the 2025-26 academic year. More than 40,000 candidates have already applied, reflecting BHU's broad appeal. Applications are being processed through the Combined Placement Program (CAP PG-2025) via the official portal bhucuetpg.samarth.edu.in. Candidates must submit scanned copies of their 10th and 12th grade transcripts, undergraduate transcripts, birth certificates, and other program-specific documents. The application fee is Rs. 500 for general category candidates (Rs. 250 for SC/ST), with additional charges of Rs. 200 (general) or Rs. 100 (SC/ST) for additional subjects.
A correction period from June 16 to 18, 2025, allows applicants to correct their forms and address any errors. BHU has also established a dedicated help desk at admission.help@bhu.ac.in to assist candidates throughout the process. The university's adoption of CUET postgraduate scores underscores its alignment with national education policy, driving the standardization of admissions and ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
This extension addresses the needs of students who struggled to meet the original deadline, especially following delays in the release of the CUET PG 2025 results. BHU's proactive approach improves accessibility, cementing its reputation as a premier destination for postgraduate education. Candidates are advised to visit bhucuetpg.samarth.edu.in or bhu.ac.in for detailed guidelines and updates on counseling schedules. With its rigorous academic programs and dynamic campus, BHU continues to attract talent from across the country, making this extension a significant opportunity for aspiring scholars.
