The Bihar Board Class 12 exams commenced today. According to reports, several students were unable to appear for the exam due to arriving late or problems with their admit cards. Students complained that incorrect exam center information was printed on their admit cards, preventing them from reaching the correct center on time.
This incident led to protests by students and parents at several examination centers across Bihar. They appealed to the board to take steps to prevent such problems in the coming days of the examination. However, the board stated that the examination schedule would proceed as planned.
The Bihar Board Intermediate 2026 examinations are being conducted at 1,762 examination centers until February 13th. The board has also set up 152 model examination centers. The Bihar Class 12 2026 exams are being held in two shifts: from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. On the first day, the morning shift included papers for Biology and Philosophy, while the afternoon shift had the Economics exam.
Several candidates for the Bihar Board Class 12 2026 examination were stopped at the gate due to errors in their admit cards and were not allowed to enter the examination hall. Problems were reported at several examination centers, including those in Patna, Samastipur, Begusarai, and Muzaffarpur. In some cases, students arrived at the wrong examination center due to errors in their BSEB Intermediate admit cards. Despite pleas from the students and their parents, the examination center authorities refused to grant entry after the gates were closed.
The board had earlier stated that stringent measures have been taken to ensure a fair examination process. Students are undergoing a two-level security check at the entry gates. Magistrates have been appointed and police personnel deployed at the examination centers. CCTV surveillance and videography are being used to monitor the examinations. The board also advised students to arrive well before the reporting time. They further stated that latecomers would not be allowed entry.
