The exam saw around 1.92 lakh candidates took the test out of 2.30 lakh candidates registered as eligible. The total attendance was around 83 % this year.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) on November 28. The test was conducted with three slots that were computer-based mode. The exam's slot 1 was scheduled between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. The timing to slot 2 took place between 12:30 pm until 22:30 pm, while slot 3 was conducted between 4:30 pm and 6:30 after 6:00 pm.
"Around 1.92 thousand candidates took part in the test among 2.30 lakh eligible candidates registered. The total attendance was around 85 percent in this particular year." was the statement in the announcement from IIM Ahmedabad.
Of the 1.92 lakh applicants who took the test 35 percent of them were females, while 65 per cent were male. The exam was also sat by two candidates in the category of transgender. The year before, during the covid-19 pandemic, approximately 83.5 percent of candidates took part in the b-school entrance test and CAT 2020.
The CAT 2021 exam was held in 438 test centers across the 156 cities of India. The test's duration was 120 minutes, and 160 minutes for disabled persons (PwD) candidate in the categoryand 160 minutes for persons with disabilities (PwD) category candidates.
IIM Ahmedabad will release the official CAT answer key within the beginning of November. The CAT answer key for 2021 will be made available on iimcat.ac.in. The CAT scores are likely to be released in mid-January 2022, the 2nd week. This score will be valid only until December 31 2022.
