CBSE Practical Exam 2026
The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 practical datesheet 2026 for schools starting in the winter season. According to the released schedule, practical exams/projects/internal assessments for students of schools starting in the winter season will be held from November 6 to December 6, 2025.
According to the released notification, practical exams/internal assessments and project evaluations for the 2025-26 session will begin from January 1, 2026. Since schools in areas with winter start times will remain closed during this period, practical/project/internal assessments are being conducted in November 2025.
CBSE Practical Exam 2026: Instructions for Schools
Schools must follow the guidelines provided.
- Schools must prepare the final list of candidates and ensure that no student whose name is not in the LOC is allowed to appear for the practical exam.
- Internal assessment for Class 10 students will be conducted only once, so all schools must complete the IA marks for candidates within the given timeframe.
- Schools must contact regional officers for external examiners and observers.
- Schools must complete practical exams/projects/internal assessments on time and submit the practical exam answer books to their respective regional offices.
CBSE 10th and 12th Practical Exams 2026: SOPs and Guidelines for Conducting the Exams
CBSE will conduct the 10th and 12th practical exams 2026 for winter-bound schools starting November 6, 2025. See the SOPs and guidelines issued by the board for conducting the practical exams below.
- Practical exams/projects/internal assessments will be conducted as per the Board's guidelines.
- When schools reopen in the winter, practical exams will be held from November 6 to December 6, 2025.
- Practical/project/internal assessment marks should be uploaded simultaneously according to the practical dates.
- Practical exams should be conducted in two or three sessions a day, depending on lab infrastructure, to ensure accurate and fair assessment.
- When uploading marks, schools must ensure that the correct marks are uploaded, as no corrections will be possible later.
- Students found guilty of talking or attempting to talk to someone with the intent to influence them, or using unfair means, will be required to report to the Board.
