The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has informed all CBSE-affiliated schools that they should not send any requests to the headquarters or regional offices for counter-signatures on Transfer Certificates (TCs). According to media reports, the board had already done away with the requirement of counter-signatures on TCs when transferring from one CBSE-affiliated school to another.
Furthermore, CBSE exam controller officials stated that requests for counter-signatures on transfer certificates are still being received at the CBSE headquarters and regional offices, and non-compliance with CBSE guidelines is causing inconvenience to stakeholders. They further clarified that all schools are reminded that there is no requirement for counter-signatures on any transfer certificate, as reported by the Indian Express.
CBSE has announced the dates for the Class 10 and 12 board exams on its official website.
