Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE will begin the registration process for private candidates for Class 10th and 12th exam 2026 from today, September 9. Private candidates preparing to appear for CBSE 2026 exam can register through the link available on the official website by following the steps given here.
The application link for private candidates for CBSE Exam 2026 Class 10th and 12th will be available on the official website cbse.gov.in. To register, candidates need to visit the private candidate link of the official website. The last date for submission of CBSE 2026 private candidate application is September 30, 2025. Candidates should note that the registration window will be available from October 3 to 11 with a late fee.

Private candidates appearing for CBSE 10th and 12th exams in 2026 must complete the registration and pay the fee before the deadline. Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 320 in online mode. An additional fee of Rs 2,000 will be charged as late fee.

- Students of session 2024-25 who have been marked as “compulsory repetition” in the 2025 results
- Students with compartment status in the main or supplementary examination 2025 (second chance compartment)
- Candidates declared failed/compulsory repetition in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025
- Students who have passed in 2024-25 but wish to improve marks in one or more subjects
