GATE 2025 Two-Paper Combination

The GATE 2025 two-paper Combination lets the candidates opt for two subjects instead of one. Candidates are allowed to select two subjects from the list of combinations provided by the GATE authorities. The new approach was implemented by the GATE conducting bodies to test the skills and knowledge of the students in various subjects of their discipline. The two-paper combination of GATE is categorized into primary and secondary, where the candidates can apply their knowledge in the related field.

As in previous years, candidates can choose one or two papers for the GATE entrance exam and submit only one GATE 2025 application form.

GATE 2025 Test Papers

Understand and know the test paper codes before opting for GATE two-paper combinations. GATE 2025 will be a 30-test paper examination conducted in multiple sessions, and a candidate is mapped to appear for the GATE 2025 examination in one of the sessions only.

GATE 2025 New Two-Paper Combination List

IIT Roorkee introduced a new combination list of GATE 2025 two-paper concepts for existing GATE exam candidates in 2025. Such combinations are inclusive of the combination available in both regular and extended application windows for GATE exams. Check on the new combination of GATE two-paper, below. What the applicants have to remember, however, is that the original test paper code, below represents additional combinations plus the original two-paper combination introduced by GATE 2025.

GATE 2025 Two-Paper Combination

In the GATE two-paper concept, the first paper is based on the candidate's undergraduate engineering discipline. However, in the second paper, the candidates can utilize their knowledge in the related field. For instance, a mechanical engineering graduate may opt for GATE 2025 AE/DA/IN/NM/PI/XE paper codes in the two-paper combination. No separate GATE application form is required to be filled up to apply for the second paper.

Here is the list of GATE 2025 two paper combinations that candidates can familiarise themselves with while filling out the application form.
