The Indian Institute of Management, Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) to promote excellence in management education, research, training, and professional development.
The two organizations will jointly design and implement Management Development Programs (MDPs), specialized training programs, executive education, and faculty development programs.
ICSI and IIM, Jammu will also work on knowledge exchange through research collaborations, joint seminars, conferences, workshops, curriculum development, and sharing of academic resources.
According to a release issued by IIM Jammu, the MoU is designed to support joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest, including research projects, faculty exchanges, and access to shared academic resources.
It states, "This partnership underscores IIM Jammu's vision of becoming a globally recognized management institute and ICMAI's role as the statutory body responsible for the development and regulation of the cost accounting profession in India."
Speaking about the agreement, IIM Jammu Director Prof. B.S. Sahay said that this MoU with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India reflects IIM Jammu's broader vision of building an ecosystem based on academic excellence, research-driven innovation, and impactful executive education. Prof. Sahay said that this collaboration will not only strengthen the academic and research ties between the two institutions but will also create a platform to develop professionals and leaders with the right knowledge, values, and skills to address the emerging challenges of a rapidly changing economy.
