CSIR NET 2024 exam has five papers - Mathematics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Geography and Physics. Candidates who have cleared the CSIR NET exam can become lecturers only in the departments of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

"We hereby inform the candidates that the joint CSIR-UGC-NET examination scheduled for 25 to 27 June 2024 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and logistical issues," NTA said.

The CSIR UGC NET Admit Card 2024 will be issued according to the updated schedule. The revised dates for the exam will be notified at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

After the cancellation of UGC NET, many universities, faculties and student groups expressed their concern over the delay in PhDs and the disruption of the academic cycle. In response, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to offer admission to PhD programs based on NET scores.
