The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key of the joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2025. Candidates who appeared in the June session exam can check the final answer key by visiting the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in.
It is worth noting that a question with serial number '835594736' has been removed from the question paper of Life Sciences (703). The exam was conducted on July 28 for a total of 1,95,241 candidates. The last date to raise objections against the NTA CSIR UGC NET provisional answer key is August 3. With the release of the final answer key, candidates can expect the results and scorecards to be released on the portal soon.
The CSIR NET June 2025 session was conducted for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programmes in universities and institutes across the country.
For candidates waiting for their results, here is a step-by-step guide on how they can check and download their scorecards once the results are released -
Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Find the link for "CSIR UGC NET June 2025 Result" on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill in the required information like application number and date of birth.
Step 4: The results will be displayed, view and download them for future reference.
The exam consists of five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (which includes atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
In the 2024 June session, the CSIR UGC NET exam was conducted on July 25, 26, and 27 in 187 cities across the country. The number of candidates registered for the CSIR UGC NET session was 2,25,335, out of which 1,63,529 candidates appeared for the exam.
Under Category 1, 1,963 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship under CSIR JRF Scheme. These candidates are also eligible for the post of Assistant Professor, subject to the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by UGC.
Only 11 candidates have qualified for the examination for award of JRF under CSIR JRF Scheme. These candidates are not eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.
A total of 1,875 candidates have been selected for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC JRF Scheme. These candidates are also eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.
Under Category 2, 3,172 candidates are eligible for admission to Assistant Professor and PhD. Whereas, under Category 3, a total of 10,969 candidates are eligible only for admission to PhD.
