CUET-UG 2024: Last Date For Application Extended till March 31

To accommodate the candidates’ pleas as well as those of other stakeholders, this deadline has been increased. Under the most recent calendar, applicants now have up until 31st March (9:50 PM) to complete their online application process at the official website of CUET UG 2024.

But CUET UG 2024 is proceeding as was initially planned, to be held on May 15 – 31, 2024 despite an earlier announcement made by the head of the UGC on March 17 saying that the examination schedule would not change because of Lok Sabha elections. The schedule for CUET UG 2024 will be published after the completion of registration according to the UGC Chairman.

Here’s how to apply for the exam:

1. Click on the CUET UG 2024 application form link.
2. Proceed to the new candidate registration page.
3. Fill in details as required and obtain your login credentials.
4. Sign into your account and fill out an application form.
5. Upload mandatory documents and pay your application fee.
6. Submit your form and download the confirmation page.

Different languages and subjects are available under the examination scheme for CUET 2024 from which candidates can choose any subject or language offered by their university or organization respectively. In language papers, candidates need to answer forty questions out of fifty given. For undergraduate programs using the General Test for admission, there are fifty questions out of sixty that candidates must attempt at least before they can be considered admitted. Candidates can choose any subject or language offered by their respective university or organization. In language papers, candidates are required to attempt 40 questions out of a total of 50. The two new subjects, Fashion Studies and Tourism have been included in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) – 2024 as directed by UGC and CBSE respectively. It is aimed to encourage skill-based subjects as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP).

The extension of the CUET-UG 2024 application deadline means that candidates will have more time to apply. To avoid any last-minute rush, applicants are advised to complete their registrations promptly as the new deadline approaches.
