Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has extended the date for DCET Round 3 counselling. Candidates must submit a caution fee for option entry. The last date for submission of DCET caution fee has been extended till August 18 at 8 pm. After submission, students can complete option entry on the same day, i.e., till midnight of August 18.
The caution deposit for general candidates is Rs 40,000, while for SC/ST candidates it is Rs 10,000. DCET seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's preferences, merit in the exam and availability of seats. Students need to follow these steps to complete DCET 2025 option entry:

While exercising the option entry, candidates must carefully select their college and course preferences. Once the allotment is done, students must appear at the allotted institute for admission. Failure to appear for admission within the stipulated time limit will result in a penalty as per KEA rules and the security amount will also be forfeited. Also, cancellation of seats is not allowed at this final stage of counselling.
