The university has advised candidates to ensure that their bank accounts have sufficient funds to pay the fees immediately, as failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat. Students are also advised to regularly check their emails for invitation letters and instructions.
Delhi University has announced a physical, on-the-spot mop-up admission round for undergraduate seats remaining vacant after Mop-up Round 1. According to an official statement, this round will be conducted based on Class 12 or equivalent exam scores, not CUET scores. The university has clarified that program-specific eligibility as mentioned in the Information Bulletin (UG) 2025 will apply.
The registration window for the on-the-spot mop-up round will open on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM and close on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Information on vacant seats in colleges and programs will be published on the admission website, admission.uod.ac.in.
Previously registered candidates who have not yet taken admission to any program by the time of announcement can apply through their dashboard under the mop-up tab. Candidates who have not yet registered on the CSAS (UG) 2025 portal can participate by submitting a fresh application on the admission portal, paying a one-time non-refundable fee of INR 1,000 in addition to the regular registration fee. The university has clarified that students who have already been admission to any program in any college will not be eligible to apply.
Candidates must ensure that their personal and academic details are updated and accurate. According to the notification, any discrepancy between the marks entered and those shown in the official marksheet will result in the cancellation of admission. Submission of valid and updated documents is mandatory, as late submission of the undertaking will result in disqualification. Except for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), the mop-up round will not apply to the additional quota.
Allocation and admissions under this round are expected to begin on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Candidates will be invited based on merit and seat availability. Selected candidates will be sent an invitation letter via email, informing them of the reporting date, time, and venue.
The admission process will be conducted physically at the university. Candidates must report in person, as no representatives will be allowed. Admission to the admission venue will be granted only on the basis of the invitation letter. Seat allocation during this round will be final, with no provision for upgrade or refund.
If a candidate fails to pay the admission fee online immediately at the time of allocation, the seat will be cancelled and reallocated to the next eligible candidate. Failure to report within the stipulated time will also result in the cancellation of the admission claim. Furthermore, any deficiencies found in documents during verification will result in the cancellation of the candidacy. The university has clarified that participation in this mop-up round does not guarantee admission.
Applicants must bring their invitation letter, CSAS (UG) application form, Class 12th marksheet and certificate, Class 10th marksheet or date of birth certificate, and original copies of a valid government-issued identity card, such as Aadhaar or passport. Reservation or category certificate, where applicable, must also be submitted.
The university has advised candidates to ensure that their bank accounts have sufficient funds to pay the fees immediately, otherwise the allotted seat will be cancelled. Students are also advised to check their emails regularly for invitation letters and instructions.
