GATE 2025 Application Form Live Update - IIT Roorkee is all set to start the registration process for the GATE 2025 exam from today i.e. 24th August 2024. GATE, also known as Test Aptitude Certification in Engineering, is one of the national qualifications. The entrance exams are conducted for candidates who want to pursue higher education in top universities like IITs, NITs, and IIITs.

GATE is organized yearly to test students' comprehensive knowledge in various core subjects like engineering, technology, architecture, natural sciences, arts, and humanities. Last year, around 8.5 lakh students registered for the GATE exam.

IIT Roorkee GATE 2025 Application Mode

Registration for GATE 2025 is done online. Candidates must provide their name, date of birth, phone number, and other details to appear in the exam.

GATE 2025 Application Form and Exam Date

GATE GOAPS application window will remain active from 24 August 2024 to 26 September 2024. Candidates can submit the application form at during this period there are no late fees. Later, if the candidate submits the application form before 7th October 2024, an additional fee of Rs.500/- will be included.

The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions on the 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th of February 2025

Candidates may face technical errors while filling out the GATE online exam form. So it is recommended to prepare the necessary documents before submitting the application form. Here is the list of documents required for the GATE 2025 application form

1. Valid photo ID proof, such as Voter ID, Aadhar card, PAN Card, etc. 
2. Category certificate
3. PwD certificate
4. Dyslexia certificate
5. Candidate’s photograph and signature as per specifications

How to register for GATE at the GOAPS Portal?

The GATE application form for admission to IITs, NITs, and IIITs will be available online at the GOAPS portal. The GATE 2025 website was launched earlier, comprising date announcements and related information. Candidates can check the GATE application process below -

1. Visit the official website and check for the GATE GOAPS portal for the application form
2. Click on “New Candidate Registration” and fill out the required details
3. Once the registration is complete, candidates will receive an enrollment ID
4. Create a unique password and proceed with the application form
5. Fill out necessary details, such as educational qualifications, communication details, etc.
6. Upload the necessary documents and make the payment.
7. Recheck all the details carefully and submit the GATE application form. Candidates are advised to keep a copy with them for future purposes.
