The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will close the GATE registration window with a late fee on October 11, 2025. Candidates who have missed the earlier deadline can fill out the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2025 registration form online on the official website.

The official GATE 2025 website states, "Due to numerous requests from applicants, the closing date for the extended online registration/application process (with late fee) has been extended up to 11:59 PM on October 11, 2024 (Friday)." The GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. It will be held in two sessions each day: forenoon and afternoon. This year, 30 test papers will be available, all in English, and they will consist of objective-type questions.

GATE 2025 Application Fee Payment Guidelines

Before submitting the application fee for GATE 2025, candidates must ensure that they have a stable internet connection. In case they face connectivity issues or glitches, candidates are advised to check the transaction status through their bank account and log in again later to verify the payment status of their GATE application form. Once the payment is confirmed, they can download the GATE 2025 application form. If the payment is not received, they will have to initiate a fresh payment. In cases where the amount has been deducted from the bank account but no payment receipt has been received, the funds will be refunded to the original account within 15 days. The application fee for GATE 2025 is Rs 1400 for Females/SC/ST/PwD and foreign nationals have to pay Rs 2300. Candidates can pay the GATE application fee through various modes including net banking, credit card, debit card and UPI. Additionally, payment can be made using international Visa and MasterCard.

Step 1: Visit the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the APPLY NOW tab.

Step 3: Complete the GATE registration by entering all the specified details.

Step 4: Log in with enrollment ID/email address and password.

Step 5: Fill in the personal information, documents, address, exam centre and qualification.

Step 6: Upload scanned images and pay the fee by following the guidelines given above.

Step 7: Submit the GATE 2025 form and take a printout of it for future references.
