GATE 2025 Two Paper Combination

IIT Roorkee is all set to conduct the GATE 2025 exam. The exam will be conducted in two sessions on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. With the option of a GATE two-paper combination, candidates can opt for two test papers from the specific combinations imposed by the GATE officials. Read below to learn more about the GATE two-paper concept.

GATE 2025 Two-Paper Combination

The GATE two-paper concept allows candidates to select two subjects rather than one. Candidates must choose two subjects from the list of combinations provided by the GATE officials. This new approach was implemented by the GATE conducting bodies to test students' skills and knowledge in different topics of their discipline. The GATE two-paper combination is classified into primary and secondary, where candidates can apply their knowledge in the related field.

As in previous years, candidates can opt for one or two papers for the GATE entrance examination, requiring only a single GATE 2025 application form

GATE 2025 Test Papers

Before opting for the GATE two-paper combinations, it is necessary to understand and know the test paper codes. The GATE 2025 examination will consist of 30 test papers and be conducted in multiple sessions, with a candidate mapped to appear for the examination in one of the sessions only.

GATE 2025 Two-Paper Combination

In the GATE two-paper 2025 concept, the primary paper is related to the candidates' undergraduate engineering discipline. On the other hand, the second paper allows candidates to apply their knowledge in the respective field. For example, a mechanical engineering (ME) graduate can opt for GATE 2025 AE/DA/IN/NM/PI/XE paper codes in the two-paper combination. There is no need to fill out another GATE application form to apply for a second paper.

Here is the list of the GATE 2025 test paper combinations that candidates can familiarize themselves with while filling out the application form.
