What is the GATE 2026 registration late fee amount?

GATE 2026 registration with late fee can be checked below –

1. Fee for Female, SC/ST and PWD candidates is INR 1500
2. For all other applicants including foreign nationals, GATE late fee amount is INR 2500
3. During the extended period of GATE 2026, candidates will have to pay an additional fee of INR 500. Accepted payments include debit card, credit card, UPI and net banking.

GATE 2026 Application Under Scrutiny and Status Updates

Candidates who have submitted their application form need to login to their GATE 2026 candidate login portal and check the status. If their GATE 2026 application status shows Application Under Investigation, it means that the officials are currently reviewing their information. Candidates are advised to keep checking their dashboard for updates.

If there is any discrepancy in the form, candidates will be informed on their registered email ID and contact number with a specific deadline to submit the correct details. 

GATE 2026 Exam Schedule and Correction Window Date

GATE 2026 exam is scheduled on February 7, 8, 14 and 15. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Successfully registered candidates will be able to appear in the examination on the given dates.

Once GATE 2026 registration is completed, the officials will activate the correction facility window. The expected date of GATE 2026 correction is first week of November. However, the last date for submitting changes is 6th November (as mentioned in the information brochure).
