GATE 2026 Registrations Begin Tomorrow: How to Apply, Important Dates & Required Documents

Registration for GATE 2026 begins tomorrow (August 28): IIT Guwahati is all set to start the registration for GATE 2026 from tomorrow (August 28) on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates willing to apply must read all the information, documents, steps and other information given below.

GATE 2026 Registrations Begins

IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 application form for admission to MTech and PhD tomorrow (August 28). The GOAPS portal will be activated at gate2026.iitg.ac.in after the application is released. The last date to submit GATE 2026 online form is September 28, 2025 (without late fee) and October 9, 2025 (with late fee).

The officials have released the GATE Information Brochure 2026 on the official website. Candidates are advised to read the official notification of GATE 2026 before applying.

How to fill the GATE Application Form 2026?

Candidates can follow the steps below for GATE 2026 application form -

1. Firstly, visit the official website of GATE and click on the application portal link.
2. Register to get your GATE enrollment ID and password.
3. Log in using your credentials (enrollment ID and password) and fill in your personal, educational qualification, address and other details.
4. Upload GATE 2026 registration documents and pay the fee.
5. Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference.

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their graduation degree from a government-recognized institute in Engineering/Science/Technology/Commerce/Architecture, etc. or are currently studying in the 3rd year or higher years of any undergraduate program, are eligible for GATE Admission 2026.
