The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Intermediate and Final examinations scheduled to be held on September 3 and 4, 2025, in several cities of Punjab and Jammu due to heavy rains and floods.
Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Sangrur are among the Punjabi cities that have been affected. According to the official statement from ICAI, the decision has been taken "in view of the incessant rains and flood situation". The updated timetable of the rescheduled exams will be released soon. Students are advised to regularly visit the official website of ICAI icai.org for the latest information on revised exam dates. This postponement will apply only to the specified cities; all other exams will continue as per schedule.
Due to the devastating floods in parts of Punjab and Jammu, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed its CA Intermediate and Final exams till 2025. The Group 1 papers were scheduled on September 4, 7 and 9 and Group 2 papers on September 11, 13 and 15. The initial dates for the CA Intermediate exam were September 4-15. Similarly, the CA Final exams for Group 1 were scheduled on September 3, 6 and 8, while Group 2 exams were scheduled on September 10, 12 and 14.
The decision was taken as both regions are reeling under a severe natural calamity. In Punjab, the state administration has declared all 23 districts as flood-affected after the floods killed 30 people and displaced over 3.5 lakh people. On September 2, the Governor and the state's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the affected areas. Meanwhile, heavy rains, flash floods and cloudbursts in Jammu and other places have claimed more than 110 lives. The updated exam schedule will be made public as soon as it is prepared.
