IGNOU Extends Re-Registration Deadline: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced a further extension of the last date for re-registration for its July 2025 session to July 31, 2025, for all programs offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes.

This decision, effective today, aims to improve accessibility for students across India amid the growing demand for flexible learning options.

According to a statement issued by the university, the extension comes at a critical time as the 2025 monsoon season disrupts travel and internet connectivity in several regions, potentially hampering students' ability to meet previous deadlines.

IGNOU initiative aligns with its mission to provide inclusive education, as evidenced by a 15% increase in enrollment in distance learning (DE) and online programs since 2023, according to recent data from the Ministry of Education. This increase highlights the growing reliance on platforms like IGNOU's Learning Management System (LMS).

This is not the first time IGNOU has adapted to student needs, following a similar extension during the July 2024 session to address logistical challenges.
