IGNOU Startup Competition 2024 Applications Open Till July 31st

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for its 2024 Startup Competition. This initiative aims to encourage IGNOU students and alumni who are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship.

Selection Process

The IGNOU Startup Competition 2024 will follow a two-stage selection process:

Stage 1: Online Application (Deadline: July 31, 2024)

2. The online application requires information about the applicant's background (student/alumni status, program enrolled/completed) and a thorough description of their startup/business. This description should include:

1. The expert committee selects a selected number of companies based on the applications from the second stage.
2. Selected candidates will have to submit a detailed presentation of their project to the Jury as per the template predefined by IGNOU. The purpose of the pitch is to address the aspects mentioned in the online application and present the chances of success of the project.
3. The jury evaluates the submissions according to various criteria, including the innovation of the idea, the viability of the business model, the potential for social/economic impact and the applicant's overall presentation skills.
4. The IGNOU Startup Competition 2024 will culminate in an award ceremony (tentatively scheduled for the second week of August 2024) where the winning businesses will be felicitated.

Awards and Recognition

1. The IGNOU Startup Competition 2024 will award prizes to the top three ventures in the second stage. These may include:
1. Best Startup Award 2024: This award will be presented to the venture deemed most promising and impactful by the jury.
2. Merit Certificates: Certificates of Merit will be awarded to the first, second, and third runners-up.
