The IPRS audited report reflects strong confidence among employers across various industries and diverse roles, despite a challenging hiring season.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has released its audited placement report 2025 for the MBA-PGP program.
For IIMA, the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) report shows an average salary of INR 35.50 lakh per annum and a median salary of INR 34.59 lakh per annum, representing an improvement over the previous year.
IIM Ahmedabad clarified that it reports salaries based on maximum earning potential (MEP), which reflects the actual cash compensation students receive in the first year, rather than the commonly used cost to company (CTC), which often includes inflated, non-cash components.
Professor Vishwanath Pingali, Chairman (Placement), said that this result reflects recruiters' confidence in IIMA graduates. He said, "It is encouraging to see recruiters trusting IIMA graduates even in a challenging business environment. We strive to provide each student with the best job profiles that match their aspirations."
Recruitment Secretary Atharva Kapadnis said that the process is designed to provide students with flexibility to take advantage of the best opportunities. He said, "Despite facing difficult challenges, IIM Ahmedabad gave students the opportunity to explore multiple desired options, ensuring they could continue to seek new opportunities even after receiving initial offers."
The institute noted in its release that the 2025 placement cycle attracted a variety of recruiters from various industries and roles, underscoring IIM Ahmedabad's position as a preferred destination for top leadership and management roles. The report highlights that even in a difficult year for business school recruitment, both salaries and recruiter participation increased.
