When will IIT Guwahati release GATE 2026 admit card: release date, steps, & accepted ID proof

IIT Guwahati (Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati) will release the GATE 2026 admit card on January 2. The paper-wise dates for the GATE 2026 examination have been released. Candidates who have submitted their application forms can download their GATE exam admit cards on the scheduled date. Read below for more details.

GATE 2026 Admit Card Release Date

The GATE exam is scheduled to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Candidates who have registered for the IITG GATE 2026 exam will need to download their admit cards from gate2026.iitg.ac.in. For preparation and GATE 2026 revision, students should thoroughly practice mock tests and previous years' GATE question papers.

GATE Admit Card 2026 date

The GATE 2026 admit card will be released on January 2, 2026. The link to the GATE 2026 admit card will be available on the GOAPS portal. To download the GATE exam hall ticket, students will need to enter their enrollment ID and password.

The GATE 2026 exam admit card will be available online only. Students should ensure that all the information printed on the admit card is correct.

The GATE 2026 admit card for CS, ME, EE, EC, DA, CE, etc., will have the following details printed on it:

Accepted ID proof to GATE Exam Centres

Here is a list of valid photo IDs that must be carried to the GATE exam center:

1. Aadhaar Card
2. Passport
3. PAN Card
4. Valid College ID
5. Employee ID Card
6. Voter ID
7. Driving License

International candidates must carry one of the following ID proofs:

1. Employee ID
2. Passport
3. Government-issued ID

Candidates are advised to carefully follow the guidelines for the GATE exam day and report to the center one hour before the scheduled time.

The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts:

Morning shift: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

MAT February Exam 2026

The MAT February 2026 exam dates have been announced today, and the registration and application process has also begun. Candidates can apply for the exam on the AIMA MAT website. The MAT 2026 exam will be conducted in both CBT (Computer-Based Test) and PBT (Paper-Based Test) modes. MAT 2026 registration can be done by creating a login ID.

The MAT eligibility criteria require a graduate degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply for the MAT 2026 exam.
