The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has decided to extend the application submission deadline for candidates seeking admission into the four-year BS program In Electronic Systems. Further information is provided below!

New Delhi: IIT Madras has decided to extend the application submission deadline for admission to its 4-year BS (Electronic Systems) for 2023. The program was introduced in June, and prospective students have the opportunity to register until August 27.

The curriculum at IIT Madras is strategically tailored to meet industry-specific demands and equip individuals with essential skill sets.

Prospective applicants are not required to provide JEE scores for program enrollment. Eligibility solely mandates completion of the 12th grade with physics and mathematics. The age and geographical location of candidates does not serve as limiting factors. The upcoming batch is scheduled to commence from September 2023

After completing their applications, candidates will receive access to a 4-week educational module led by IIT Madras faculty members. This module will serve as a basis for a qualifying exam, which will be conducted online. The program's educational content, tutorials, doubt-resolution sessions,

and assignment tasks will be delivered through online platforms. However, quizzes, examinations, and laboratory sessions will be conducted in an offline format. Practical laboratory sessions will take place in person at the IIT Madras campus.

Prof. S Aniruddhan, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras and the program coordinator, highlighted that participants in this program will acquire knowledge, grasp fundamentals, and develop essential skills that are applicable across various industries.

Students will also have the opportunity to undertake internships with different companies to enhance their knowledge and gain practical experience. These internships may be conducted offline, online, or in a hybrid format, spanning a duration of 3-8 months
