The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is re-launching the MS in Entrepreneurship. Students will be able to work with faculty members to commercialize ideas'.

They will be taught how to find entrepreneurial opportunities and officially establish their businesses through an effective mix of classes taught intensive research, expert supervision, and mentoring by highly successful entrepreneurs and other members from the start-up community.

Ashwin Mahalingam who is on the selection committee, stated, "The programme will create entrepreneurs in technology who will "productize" these ideas' and then work on creating business plans around these ideas. In this manner we aim to facilitate the "lab to market" technological transition, help develop entrepreneurs, and ultimately create a greater impact on society."
