NTA JEE Main 2026 registrations have begun. The NTA has made some important changes to the JEE Main 2026 CBT exam. These include a basic on-screen calculator and an accessibility mode. See below for more details.
The NTA JEE Mains Application Form 2026 has been released, and registrations for Session 1 exams will remain open until November 27. This year, the NTA has made some changes to the registration process, including using data from candidates' Aadhaar cards for the application process. Additionally, a major update has been made to the computer-based test. Now, candidates will have access to an on-screen calculator.
This calculator will be available on the candidates' computer screens and can be used for addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. The calculator also includes functions for square root, percentage, and other operations. This will help candidates complete their calculations faster and will be available throughout the exam.
The JEE Main 2026 CBT test will also include a screen magnifier. Using this option, candidates can move their cursor to any section of the screen they wish to enlarge for better viewing, if needed.
Additionally, there will be an 'Accessibility' option. This will allow candidates to switch between dark mode and light mode during the JEE Main 2026 exam. Candidates can also use this feature to increase or decrease the font size of the text displayed on the screen. This feature can also be used to enable and select the size of the cursor trail.
The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted daily in two shifts between January 21 and 30, 2026 – Shift 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exact dates of the examination will be announced later. Candidates will be informed about their exam date, time, and center through their JEE Main 2026 admit card.
