JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Soon: NTA to release application form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon begin the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 (April attempt). The official website for applying is jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA is expected to start the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration around January 31st. The link for the JEE Main April 2026 application form will be updated here once it is activated. Last year, JEE Main April registrations began on February 1, 2025; however, the Session 1 exam was held until January 31. Therefore, considering past trends, it is highly likely that JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registrations will also begin around the same date.

How to fill JEE Main Application Form 2026?

This year, the NTA has introduced some changes to the JEE Main April attempt registration process, such as live photo capture and e-KYC. Students should note that e-KYC is not mandatory, but live photo capture is compulsory for everyone during the JEE form filling process.

2. Click on "Candidate Registration" and create a password according to NTA guidelines.
3. After registration, obtain your application number and log in using your credentials.
4. Fill in the details carefully and upload the documents.
5. Capture a live photo and upload the required documents (photo, signature, and certificates).
6. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
7. Download the confirmation page and take a printout of the JEE Mains April 2026 application form.

Note: Candidates who have registered for the January 2026 session can skip the registration process and proceed directly to the next steps. They can use their application number and password to apply.

Documents required for JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 Registration

Students should note that all documents to be uploaded while filling out the form must be in the specified format. If the documents are not submitted correctly, the applicant's candidature may be cancelled. Here is a list of the documents required for JEE Main 2026 registration for the April session:

7. JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Fees for General, OBC, and SC/ST Candidates

The registration fee for JEE Main Session 2 is INR 1000 for general category candidates, while female candidates have to pay INR 800. For the Gen-EWS category, the JEE Main 2026 application fee is INR 900 (for males) and INR 800 (for females). On the other hand, SC/ST and PwD candidates have to pay INR 500 as the registration fee.
